East India Fish

little eastern delight called East India Fish. It use wonderful fresh wild salmon, but you can use farmed salmon too. This is a great old recipe, which would have been for a special occassion, in our household. This would have been in my Grandma’s family, due to the fact that they were originaly from England, where a lot of the trade of spices came into the docks from India.

Here is your free recipe today, I have chosen this simple salad that was usually served with some of Grandma’s meals. Always fresh from the garden, and of course organic, as they did not have any chemicals to use in those days. This is great for vegetarians and vegans.

PUMPKIN SOUP

Once you have sweated the vegetables in the butter, pour over the boiling water and boil until the vegetables are very soft. Once the vegetables are soft, pour and rub through a sieve and return to the saucepan with the half pint milk and some pepper and salt, and stircontinuously until it boils up. Your pumpkin soup is now ready.
