MULIGATAWNY SOUP
Nice to see you back with for another wonderful free recipe, This recipe is one of grandmas’ favour recipes.
Muligatawny soup, great for these winter nights, and very filling. We love this soup, adults and chilren alike. We hope that you will enjoy it as much as we do. When making this we try to use as much organic meat and vegetables as we can. This is just one way of getting back to fresh and wholesome food.
If you wish to make a smaller amount of this soup, just half the ingredients.
Ingredients
Two medium chicken.
4 medium onions (shred)
tablespoon of clarified fat
salt and pepper for seasoning
two tablespoons of curry power
3 quarts of strong beef gravy
Juice of 1 lemon
Now tht we have all the ingredients lets get started.
Take the two chickens, and cut them up into small piece, as if for fricassee, now put the pieces of chicken in some flour, now put them in a saucepan with the four shredded onions, add to this the clarified fat, pepper, salt, and the two table spoonsful of curry powder; and a little water. let it simmer for an hour.
Now add the three quarts of strong beef gravy, and let it continue simmering for another hour.
Before placing on the table, stir in the juice of a lemon,
You can always add a little rice to the stock, a pinch of saffron is also sometimes added.
