Italian Ice Cream

Here is another great free dessert recipe, for you to to try. There is nothing like homemade fresh ice cream, made from fresh organic ingredients. This recipe was sent in by Grace, who likes our idea of an old recipe site.

Ingredients

  • 1 quart of cream
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 tablespoons of brandy
  • pistache coloring
  • Let make this easy recipe, and have some wonderful ice cream.

    Whip the cream with the sugar until it becomes stiff. Now lets put it into the freezer until it is half frozen.

    While the mixture is freezing take the lemons, and grate the peel, then squeeze the juice.

    When the mixture is half frozen, take out of the freezer and add the grated lemon peel, and juice to the half frozen cream, while mixing, add the 2 tablespoonfuls of fine brandy, and a little of the pistache coloring.

    Once this is all mixed together, put back into the freezer until it is hard.

    Serve on its own,  with fruit or cake.
