Indian Meal Pudding
Hi, here is a great recipe of grandma’s. We in this family adore this recipe. It’s a great old fashioned recipe from years gone by and it’s like all recipes on this site it free. Why not try it out.
Ingredients
2 pint of milk
1 half cup of Indian meal (cornmeal)
3 eggs
1 tablespoon of flour
1 half cup of sugar
1 half teaspoon of ginger
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
maple sugar or cream
Ready to try this recipe, well lets get started.
First, bring to the boiling point one pint of milk; pour it gradually on one-half cup of Indian meal, stirring all the while to prevent lumps. When cool add three well beaten eggs, and one tablespoon of flour, one-half cup of sugar, one-half teaspoon of ginger, one teaspoon of cinnamon, pinch of salt and one pint cold milk. Pour into battered
pudding dish and bake an hour and a half.
Serve with hot maple sugar or cream.
