FRUIT NECTAR (Sufficient to Serve Eight)
This free and wonderful drink recipe is what our Grandma used to make for us on a hot summers day or evening, we would sit on the porch, listening to grandma and grandpa’s stories of when they were young. Oh they were wonderful days and evenings.
When we found her cooking book we decided that because this brought us back such fond memories, we would like to fetch it to your attention.
Made with the finest of fresh organic fruit juice, made from fresh fruit which had been put through the jucier. Great drinks recipe for everybody to enjoy. Fresh carton juice can be use instead of freshly squeeze, fruit.
Ingredients
3/4 Cup sugar
2 Cup water
1-1/2 Cup fresh orange juice
1 Cup fresh pineapple juice
1/2 Cup fresh lemon juice
Place the sugar into the water and boil for 2 minutes, then let cool. Add the fruit juices,(which you have put through the juice) make sure that you strain them (unless you are like me and like the bits of fruit mush) , and serve over cracked ice. You can use the fruit mush that is left after juicing to use as pie filling or to make smoothies with.
Hope you enjoy this wonderful simple recipe.
