CUBAN PUDDING
Hey, we have a pudding recipe day today. Grandma’s recipes sure do come in handy, everytime we find one that we think you will like, we are going to post it on this site.
This free recipe of Cuban pudding is very rich so you will only be able to eat a small piece. Think of that diet when eating it. But it is great to make for guests, and the kids will just love it. Made with all natural ingredients, you just can’t get better that home cooking. No added preservatives in this recipe or any recipe on this site. This really is a naughty but nice pudding.
Ingredients
1lb of sponge cake (homemade of course), you can use shop bought if you have too, but it will have preservatives in))
1lb of cocoanut (grated)
2 pints of rich cream
quarter pound of loaf sugar
8 eggs
4-5 ounces of preserved ginger
To sart crumble a pound of sponge cakes, and an equal quantity, (or less if preferred), of cocoanut, grated in a basin. Pour over two pints of rich cream previously sweetened with a quarter of a pound of loaf sugar.
Cover the basin and when the cream is absorbed stir in eight well-beaten eggs.
Butter a mold, arrange four or five ounces of preserved ginger around it, pour in the pudding mix carefully and tie it down with a cloth.
Steam or boil slowly for an hour and a half; serve with the syrup from the ginger, which should be
warmed and poured over the pudding.
Be naughty and try this pudding, its fantastic.
