CREAMED SPINACH
Ingredients (Sufficient to Serve Four )
(I know it is against everything said today about fat, but it adds great flavor)
Boil the spinach according to the directions on the pack or if using fresh spinach around half a pound or a little more. Melt the fat in a frying pan, now add the flour,salt, pepper, and milk, and stir until the flour thickens. Chop the cooked spinach and add it to the sauce that you have just made. Stir and cook until the two are well mixed. Serve hot as one of your five a day vegetables to compliment your main meal. If you find that this is not enough just double up on our ingredients.
Spinach is very good for you because of the high content of Iron in it. (you never know you may end up with with big strong lads like Popeye).
